One worksheet. Less repeated documentation.

The documentation workflow presented in August 2026 uses structured information from the procedure room to prepare several work products. The physician and center retain review and accountability.

Four outputs

The same case data supports four jobs

01

Operative note

Generate a narrative from captured fields and center-specific defaults, then review and attest.

02

Coding support

Map documented procedures and add-ons to supporting coding information for the center’s review.

03

Registry record

Store the case with common field definitions so it can contribute to a comparable dataset.

04

Quality reporting

Use the structured data for QAPI review and network benchmarking.

Human review

Extraction is checked before it is trusted

The demonstrated workflow uses Amazon Textract to read field values, checkbox states, and tables. Low-confidence entries are flagged; range and logic checks support review.

The source image stays linked to the extracted information. Physician attestation precedes a final note, and coding decisions remain with the physician and coding team.

Automation supports documentation. It does not replace clinical judgment or the center’s responsibility for an accurate record.

Working with the data

Ask questions of your own case series

The Registry presentation describes a plain-language query layer over structured case records—for example, finding cases with longer fluoroscopy times or reviewing recorded complications over a period.

01

Defined scope

Queries are scoped to the physician’s own patients.

02

Traceable answers

Answers cite the underlying case records.

03

A tool for investigation

The described use is hypothesis generation from structured fields, not clinical decision support.
